Users can share a folder to grant access to any dashboards contained within it.
Pre-requisite:
- The user sharing the Dashboard needs the ‘Manage Dashboards in Public Folders’ permission.
Steps:
- In AIM, click the ‘Dashboards’ Object and find the Dashboard that you wish to share with another user. Click on the folder name in the ‘Folder’ column.

- Once in the folder, select the caret drop-down in the top right corner and click ‘Share’.

- Select how you would like to share the folder, with whom, and the access type.
- ‘Share With’: Select whichever option works best for you (i.e Public Groups, Profiles, Users). For this example, we are sharing the Dashboard Folder with one user, so we will select ‘Users’.
- ‘Names’: Search for the User you would like to give access to.
- ‘Access’: Update the type to View, Edit, or Manage
- Select ‘Share’ and they will appear in the ‘Who Can Access’ section. Click, ‘Done’ to exit the screen. The user now has access to the Dashboard and all subfolders in the folder.
